Nautilus and TPE have launched a 4-megawatt community solar project in Delaware

  • July 31, 2026
Nautilus Solar Energy and TurningDoint Energy (TPE) have completed a 4-megawatt community solar project in Dover, Delaware. The project will deliver renewable energy to the Delaware power grid, with a dedicated portion providing power to low-income households in Delaware. The Dover project is developed by TPE and constructed and operated by Nautilus.

The Dover project demonstrates the strong power that Nautilus and TPE have jointly established in Delaware - a partnership built on a shared commitment to expanding access to clean and economical energy, "said Eric Paul, Senior Vice President of Business Development at Nautilus. At a time when rising energy costs are putting real pressure on households, community solar provides predictable, locally generated electricity that achieves cost savings almost faster than any other alternative. We are proud to bring this choice to the region, especially for the low - and middle-income customers that this project aims to serve.

Nautilus and TPE have further deepened their commitment to Delaware through a 30 MW investment portfolio consisting of six projects, conducted through community investment. These two companies jointly donated $240000 to local non-profit organizations throughout the state. These donations aim to create lasting social value by supporting organizations working on the front lines in areas such as housing, food access, and youth development. The Delaware Boys and Girls Club and Springboard Delaware are among the non-profit organizations that have received donations.

TPE President Sara Naini said, "Delaware has demonstrated the achievements that can be made when state leaders, local governments, and private businesses work together to achieve common goals. During this period when electricity prices are at their highest, this combination project will save over $35 million in expenses for residents and organizations across the state. We are very grateful for the state's cooperation and leadership in helping us achieve these benefits for Delaware people, and we are proud to work with Nautilus to advance the implementation of these projects.
