The project has been approved by the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) and is located next to the existing third-party owned Wadley solar facility, close to the existing transmission infrastructure. The new Wadley BESS is an asset owned by the company that enhances the power grid and the growing renewable energy in the region.

The project is expected to be completed in 2027.
